Yay! I finally got a little not lazy and decided to take a pic of some of the stuff I got. The Blazblue bag I got for free at the console room tourny for SC4, as well as Guilty Gear XXAC for PSP and random Golf Game from Aksys lol. The Baki DVD boxset I got for beating one of the managers of the console room in an exhibition match. I got the really cute <3 Taokaka cloth from the Aksys booth. :3 and much thanks to sushi for buying me the Yuffie statue (no, it wasn't 75$, it was discounted for 25$). There's some other stuff I got, but I'll take pics later. | | |
| Ah... today's a long day. If theres one major thing in blazblue I dislike, is that the characters won't STFU. From being hit to blocking something to wiffing a move, they say something... t__t it really gets annoying fast when you're trying to practice a string over and over again in training mode. *mutes sound now*
On the bright side, I finally actually connected the first part of her taunt combo. 6A J.2D~B Taunt 236AA.... now I just have to get down the damn j.2D~B part and I'll be set. I also found out you can combo off her normal throw without needing to roman cancel it, just by plain air dashing or 4D-ing. Good stuff. | | |
| So, my progress so far.
After finally getting use to her 4B+C 236CC 3D9 j.C 9D j.C 9D 236BBB,
I'm trying to do 4B+C 236CC 3D9 j.C 9D 236BB j.C 9D 236BBB.... but for some reason I can't get the last D to hit before they can tech. If I do 236CC into the combo w/o the throw, I have enough hitstun to get it, but with it I can't seem to hit... =( Maybe I have to do it faster?
I know it works because it was on the tutorial disc.... well, maybe I should try and get use to the motion for taunt combos next.
"Elevator Music" is my fav one.
Anyways before I forget, there was a pretty cute Amy cosplay at AX. I thought it was pretty well done. (not to mention she had the height for it lol. ^ ^; )

| SOOO, I'v decided to pick Tao as my main character. I didn't really pick anybody else yet, esp since I'm really trying to get use to the system. Plus Taokaka's likeable in almost everyway anyways. =3
So seeing as how I don't know anything about the game, my first goal would be to learn how to "get damage" and go from there.
And damage ofcourse, is what combos do. So, I'v set out to learn tao's combos.
First combo I'v learned is 2A 5B 2B 6A(two hits) j.A j.C dj.A jC djA jC 236BBBB.... which is like blah damage. Like, 1400 damage? Yuck.
So I decided to learn her drive loop. A guide had a decent one which is off her backthrow, so I practiced 4B+C 236 CC 3D9 j.C 9D 9C 9D 236BBB, which is around 3K damage so that's a lot better.
I also realized you can combo into throws in this game, but the throw break window is alot larger if you combo into it, so ehhhh. I was gonna do like 6C 6D9 B+C (air throw) into 236236 D, but the large escape window makes that iffy. I'll play around with it more later.
